Things Get Awkward On ‘First Take’ After Terrell Owens Tells Stephen A. Smith ‘Max Kellerman Seems Blacker Than You’ Over Colin Kaepernick Takes

Stephen A. Smith has been widely criticized for his takes on Colin Kaepernick but things came to a head on Thursday when outspoken former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens was featured on the show.

All week long, Smith has been ranting and raving against Kaepernick for the way he handled the workout situation with the NFL over the weekend.

“Twenty five teams show up in Georgia at the Atlanta Falcons practice facility — state of the art facility, NFL personnel, equipment, video, everything, and what does Colin Kaepernick do,” Smith said, “Colin Kaepernick wants to change the venue.”

“He don’t want to play,”. “He wants to be a martyr.”

Smith’s counterpart on ‘First Take’, Max Kellerman, has been defending Kaepernick at every turn on the show .

On Thursday, Terrell Owens went on the show and things got awkward quickly when he told Smith to his face that “Max seems blacker than you” over his Kaepernick takes.

I’m in the streets every day, Max almost seems blacker than you Stephen A.

Smith quickly took issue with Owens’ comment and told T.O. he had crossed the line.

Im going to check your right now you’ve crossed the line. You, Eric Reid, Colin Kaepernick any of ya’ll who want to debate me in front of black people and talk about what’s best for black people name the time and place

I’m from Hollis Queens, New York City, you ain’t the only brother that’s in the streets and I’m in the streets every day

While Stephen A. was definitely annoyed he knew what he was getting into by booking T.O. on the show in the first place.
