The vibes of Fox’s World Cup broadcast team have been a bit off, to say the least, with the personalities of Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexi Lalas clearly rubbing up against each other.

The latest instance unfolded on Tuesday, but instead of Alexi Lalas, involved another former United States men’s national team player: Landon Donovan.

Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimovic took shots at Landon Donovan over his assessment of France’s performance against Senegal

During the broadcast of the France vs. Senegal game, Donovan called France’s first half performance “arrogant” and “casual.” Henry and Zlatan clearly disagreed. France went on to win the match 3-1.

“I will skip that one,” Henry said when studio host Rebecca Lowe asked Henry about Donovan’s comments at halftime. “Because I just don’t get it. It’s not because you are not 1-nil up or 2-nil up or 3-nil up after 15 minutes, that those words have to come out. Let’s concentrate on the game. We all knew what was going to happen, people who know how Senegal can play and how Senegal are.”

“Its not arrogance, its confidence,” Zlatan said after the match. “Ignorant people will say its arrogance. Intelligent people will say its confidence.”

France’s remaining games in the group stage will be against Iraq on Monday, June 22 and Norway on Friday, June 26. Senegal will face off against Norway on June 22 and Iraq on June 26.
