Bill Belichick is refusing to answer any questions about North Carolina investigating his son.
Last week, an explosive report revealed that North Carolina was investigating whether Belichick’s son Steve Belichick, the defensive coordinator for the team, had either used drugs on campus or provided players with drugs. The school is also reportedly looking into if a staff member had sexual relations with a player.
Lawyers hired to conduct the investigation are also questioning people about whether defensive coordinator Steve Belichick used drugs on the job or provided drugs to at least one player — and, separately, about whether a member of UNC’s recruiting staff had a sexual relationship with a player, people familiar with the investigation told WRAL. The lawyers also asked about possible sexual relationships between assistant coaches and recruiting staff, the people said.
The nature of the questions, posed in recent weeks to people associated with the team, provides a glimpse into the widening scope of the ongoing probe.
On Monday, Belichick faced the media and was grilled about the investigation into his son. A stoic Belichick awkwardly brushed off questions while getting grilled by a reporter.
“You keep asking those questions; I can’t speak to that, sorry,” Belichick told the reporter.

Steve Belichick is currnently on medical leave and it’s unclear when he’ll be back with the school.
