Earlier this week, Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot got raked over the coals for making his fans wait two hours at an autograph signing and refusing to sign anything that didn’t have his name or face on it. I’ll take ‘Never Meet Your Heroes’ for $300, Alex.
Tiger Woods has returned to Carnoustie, where he played his first links course as a 19-year-old amateur in 1995, after battling back problems and recovering from surgery. As always, all eyes are on Tiger as golf fans hang on every swing with bated breath. Woods is focused and doesn’t have time or the emotional bandwidth to deal with fans grabbing at him from every angle, even if they are like, seven.
Unlike Elliott, who stiff-armed his fans at a scheduled event off the field, I took great pleasure in watching Tiger give these young fans a hard life lesson.
