  • Tom Brady Sr. is over the moon that the Bucs are traveling to New England in 2021.
  • Brady’s dad cold-called into a Boston radio station to express his excitement.
  • The Bucs and Pats will square off in Week 4.

If there’s one game every NFL fan has circled on the 2021 schedule it’s the Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveling to Foxborough to take on the New England Patriots in Week 4.

Everyone is excited to witness Tom Brady’s return to Gilette Stadium – tickets to the game are already selling for over $12k – but Brady’s own father may be more excited about the matchup than anyone else on the planet.

While Brady has yet to share his thoughts about the Week 4 trip to Foxborough, Brady Sr. didn’t waste any time. He was so pumped up about Brady’s return to New England he decided to cold-call into a local Boston radio station to express his excitement.

I started salivating when I saw that we’re playing the Patriots in the fourth game of the season,” Tom Brady Sr. said, according to Albert Breer of NBC Boston. “And we’re coming up here to make our record 4-0. We expect to beat the Patriots rather handily.”

Those are fightin’ words, Mr. Brady.

You can’t knock Brady’s dad for being overly confident, of course. The Patriots have a lot of question marks surrounding their team, especially at the quarterback position with Mac Jones and Cam Newton expected to battle for the starting role. Oh, his son is also the greatest to ever throw a football and is coming off a Super Bowl-winning campaign. It’s safe to say the Brady family has earned the right to deliver some trash talk whenever they see fit.

The Bucs-Patriots Week 4 matchup could end up being one of the most-watched regular-season NFL games we’ve seen in quite some time.

It’ll be interesting to see how New England and the Patriot faithful welcome Brady back to Gilette Stadium.
