Tom Brady announced on Tuesday morning that his time as a New England Patriot has officially come to an end. It’s an extremely sad time for folks in New England and Patriots fans around the world, but happy times for Patriots haters and the fans of other AFC East teams.

While you could argue that Brady’s time as a Patriot will be remembered by building the NFL’s greatest dynasty, winning six Super Bowls, cementing himself as the greatest quarterback in NFL history and being named league MVP three times, we also have to remember the final pass he threw as a Patriot. Those are the rules, that’s just how this works.

The Pats trailed the Titans 14-13 with 15 seconds left in the AFC Wild Card game. New England was backed up on its own one-yard line. Brady was in the shotgun and decided to throw a half-ass pass to a completely covered Mohamed Sanu, the ball was tipped into the air and former Patriot Logan Ryan took it to the house.

Some (everyone) would say that your final pass being a pick-six during a playoff game on your home turf is a bad way to go out.

It will be interesting to see if Brady can get over this embarrassing final pass as a Patriot next season on a new team.
