Tom Brady is gearing up for his 20th career playoff appearance and his 48th career playoff game after leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to another NFC South title.

But before he does that, he has a podcast to host.

Brady has made headlines all year on his “Let’s Go!” podcast, hosting a number of different big guests and discussing topics on and off the field.

His latest episode welcomed Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young to the show. The pair discussed a number of topics, including the potential retirement of four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers further sparked rumors of his retirement when he refused to exchange jerseys following a loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday that ended the Packers’ season.

Both Young and Brady seem to believe Rodgers should think twice before potentially calling it a career.

Tom Brady Warns That Aaron Rodgers Should Take Time To Consider Retirement

When asked about Rodgers potentially retiring, Young compared the decision to Rodgers choosing death.

“What he’s contemplating is, in my mind, a death. And who chooses death?” Young said, referring to a football retirement.

“Because when you’re the best at something in the world and then you leave the game and the next day you’re not that anymore and you find out, you know what, I’m not actually even good at anything else.”

Brady, meanwhile, didn’t go quite as far. Though he did advise his fellow future Hall of Famer to take some time before making a decision.

“Steve brings out the perfect point,” Brady said. “Those are absolutely legitimate feelings and emotions. And I think the most important thing is the day after the season, and I made this mistake, is not to decide the future.”

Of course, Brady retired following the 2021 season only to announce a comeback just months later. The decision to return reportedly ended up being the final straw that led to his divorce from longtime wife Gisele Bundchen.

Rodgers, who is single, won’t have to worry about that factor when ultimately making his decision.
