Former college basketball coach Tom Crean was on hand to take in the national championship game Monday night. In support of his brother-in-law, Crean was decked out in blue and maize in the stands in Houston.
Most would be ecstatic at the opportunity to celebrate a family member’s success at the highest level, particularly someone who’s been in a similar profession.
Crean, however, looked absolutely miserable when cameras panned his way.
The hilarious image quickly went viral as viewers posted reactions on social media.

Crean is a former college basketball coach, most recently coaching at Georgia in 2022. He’s also held head coaching positions at Marquette and Indiana, posting a 403-306 overall record, making nine NCAA Tournaments and a Final Four.

Crean is married to Jim Harbaugh’s sister, Joani, whom he met while an assistant coach at Western Kentucky. Her father, Jack Harbaugh, was the Hilltoppers’ head football coach at the time of that encounter.
Hopefully he’s more excited than he looks to be rooting on the Wolverines.
