Going into Super Bowl 57, it was estimated that Americans would gamble $16 billion (at legal sportsbooks) on the Big Game. Of that $16 billion, there were quite a few large wagers placed.

That $16 billion figure was almost certainly a LOT larger when accounting for bets that weren’t made public. But of the public bets, we have a sense of who was betting big and where thanks to various sportsbook managers sharing that info.

Biggest Bets Placed On Super Bowl 57

The single biggest bet on Super Super 57 that we know if was a $2.2 million wager placed on the Philadelphia Eagles (-1.5). That bet was placed at Caesars Sportsbook in New York, according to ESPN Chalk’s David Purdum.

It goes without saying but I’ll spell it out anyway: that was a $2.2 million loss when the Chiefs won the game.

The other biggest bets were:

$1.68 million on the Chiefs (+3.5) at Draftkings.
$1.25 million on the Eagles moneyline at BetMGM.
$1 million on the Eagles moneyline at BetMGM.
$800,000 on the Chiefs moneyline at Caesars Sportsbook in Nevada.
$555,000 on the OVER (52 points) at Caesars sportsbook in Nevada.
$550,000 on the Chiefs moneyline at Caesars sportsbook in Nevada.
$500,000 on the Chiefs moneyline at BetMGM.
$400,000 on the Chiefs moneyline at Caesars.

This was reportedly the biggest in-game bet during Super Bowl 75:

Is the Drake Curse alive?

Drake wagered a LOT of money on the Super Bowl. The infamous ‘Drake Curse’ has followed him for years, including through the World Cup where he picked the winner but still managed to lose.

Three days ago, Drake shared his Super Bowl bets. They totaled around $980,000. He was loaded up on prop bets.

The ONLY bet Drake hit was ultimately the one that mattered, his biggest bet. Drake had 1 win and 6 losses.

Drake wagered $700,000 on Kansas City to win which paid out $1.477M. He came out on top, as far as we know based on the screenshots of his bets.

Given that he picked the winner and cashed in big, I’m inclined to say the Drake Curse isn’t real.
