Kansas City Chiefs tight end and future NFL Hall of Famer Travis Kelce is all set to host SNL this week. The musical guest is Kelsea Ballerini which makes this a must-watch episode for many.
When Travis Kelce hosts SNL on March 4th, he’ll become the first NFL player to host Saturday Night Live since J.J. Watt did on February 1, 2020.
Part of hosting Saturday Night Live is cutting promos for the upcoming show. It is a quick glimpse into what SNL fans can expect from the host-to-be.
For his promo, Travis Kelce channels his inner Indiana Jones with the iconic leather jacket and iconic pinch-front fedora hat. All in all, Kelce is pretty good as Indy and it bodes well for his hosting gig:

Hosting SNL appears to have been a lifelong dream for Travis Kelce. Back in August, 2011 he tweeted “At this improv comedy show…. At least if sports isnt where I make money, I can easily do stuff like this…”

Kelce is arguably the second-most famous player on the Kansas City Chiefs behind quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
While both Mahomes and Kelce have 2 Super Bowl Championships a piece, Mahomes has 2 MVPs and Kelce has zero. But Mahomes has never hosted SNL and those are bragging rights that Travis Kelce will be able to rub in Patty’s face in the locker room next season.
Dating back to September 2022, both Mahomes and Kelce admitted they’d love to host SNL one day.
