Travis Kelce is trying to show that he’s got talents behind the football field, as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and future Hall of Famer is set to host an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.

Kelce will host the March 4 episode of the famed NBC sketch comedy show alongside musical guest Kelsea Ballerini. Other upcoming hosts that were announced was Woody Harrelson and Jack White on February 25, and Jenna Ortega/The1975 on March 11.

The Kelce-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live comes just a few weeks after the 33-year-old won his second Super Bowl title, as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII. In Super Bowl LVII, Kelce hauled in six catches for 81 yards and a first-quarter touchdown.

Since the victory, however, Kelce has been causing some NFL fans to scratch their heads as he runs with this “underdog Chiefs” narrative.

While Kelce isn’t the first NFL player to host Saturday Night Live, he’ll be the first athlete to host the show since J.J. Watt on February 1, 2020. Other NFL stars to host Saturday Night Live are Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Deion Sanders, Joe Montana, Walter Payton, Alex Karras, John Madden, O.J. Simpson, and Fran Tarkenton.

Being involved in sketch comedy certainly isn’t a foreign idea to Kelce, either, as he tweeted this while at a comedy show over a decade ago:

“At this improv comedy show…. At least if sports isnt where I make money, I can easily do stuff like this…” Kelce tweeted back in 2011.
