The Miami Dolphins totally collapsed in the second half against the Green Bay Packers. Tua Tagovailoa’s three interceptions had many pondering what was going on.
Well, the Dolphins’ quarterback blamed himself entirely for the loss, and fans can’t help but agree with him. However, we might finally know why Tagovailoa is so inconsistent on the field.
According to Kevin Patra, Tua Tagovailoa is using Sunday’s game as a learning experience. Although the loss stings, this certainly could be something to learn from. “Just very unfortunate. It was just terrible how everything ended. Like I told the guys, ‘That’s on me.’ I will definitely get better from that.”
Hopefully, that holds true. Even so, Dolphins fans didn’t hold back as they fully agree with Tagovailoa.

Meanwhile, we might finally know exactly why Tua Tagovailoa is so inconsistent on the field. The Dolphins’ passing offense “is so predicated on anticipation, defenses aren’t being fooled as much by Tua’s eye manipulation,” per Dan Orlovsky and Daniel Oyefusi.
.@danorlovsky7 making a really good point on Get Up about Tua and Miami’s offense. Dolphins passing O is so predicated on anticipation, defenses aren’t being fooled as much by Tua’s eye manipulation. A GB defender said something similar.

That claim is even backed up by Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, per Oyefusi.
It was actually GB coach Matt LaFleur: “We knew [Tua is] a guy that’s going to anticipate, he’s going to let the ball go. But if you can read the QB the right way, that also gives you some opportunities defensively.” https://t.co/AV4MIr3xQW

So, this may explain why the Dolphins’ offense can’t get rolling sometimes. It was pretty evident in Sunday’s contest too. Each of Tua Tagovailoa’s interceptions looked telegraphed by the defense.
Hopefully, this is something the Dolphins can improve. If not, then their offense could become more predictable as time goes on.
