Being named a Pro Bowler is an honor, as Maxx Crosby showed us earlier this year, but it is more about the experience than the game. Although the game itself is obviously the focal point, the fanfare around the game is what makes the weekend so fun.

NFL players often bring their families out to the game and get to enjoy a most-expenses-paid vacation. This year, it’s in Las Vegas, so it’s not necessarily the most kid-friendly location, but that isn’t stopping Tyrann Mathieu from making it an amazing trip for his family.

His son and nephew made the trip with him to Sin City for the Pro Bowl.

During practice on Saturday, they stole the show and won the weekend. After the AFC wrapped up its day, Mathieu Jr. lined up as a wide receiver and ran a go route to the end zone.

At quarterback, Justin Herbert looked to his right, found Mathieu and lobbed one in for six.

After pulling in the touchdown grab, Mathieu Jr. hit a completely unprompted Griddy.

Mathieu’s nephew, Titan Lucas, went second. He ran a comeback route and pulled in a touchdown from Mac Jones.

AFC head coach Mike Vrabel lost his mind when Lucas made the grab and he also proceeded to hit a clean Griddy that sent the place into an uproar. And then, as the team huddled up to end the day, Lucas and Mathieu Jr. continued to play to the fans.

This is what the Pro Bowl is all about— having fun.
