Udonis Haslem caught some flak for his performance in a matchup against the Heat earlier this week. More specifically, a clip of the veteran unsuccessfully trying to defend Jayson Tatum is circulating Twitter.

The video of Haslem squaring Tatum up has gone viral, and it shows the Boston guard blowing by the forward for a quick baseline layup. Now, this isn’t something to be embarrassed about. Tatum took it to everyone on the Miami roster that night, racking up 49 points and impressing the Royal Family in the process.

Unfortunately, being beat on the play has led to quite the reaction on social media. Most find it funny that Haslem is even defending the explosive star in the first place. But sometimes defenses are forced to rotate giving the offense a mismatch. Tatum obviously had the advantage in this instance.

After seeing the replay of the easy lay in, one fan took it upon themself to take a shot at Udonis Haslem’s age. It led to a hilarious response from the Heat vet.

Bleacher Report posted the video on its Instagram account, leading to the following comment from a fan.

Why is that artifact on Tatum in the first place?

Taking immediate offense to the jab, Haslem responded in the best way possible by breaking out a hilarious grade school comeback.

Yo momma

Simple, yet stinging. The quip brought fans back to the school yard, with social media users reacting to the comical comment.

One person wrote, “3rd grade humor,” while another said, “Bro needs to work on his trolling.” One fan commented, “Udonis Haslem is 80 years old and making yo momma jokes as a comeback.”

Childish? Maybe, but it certainly gets the point across.
