Utah running back Ty Jordan tragically passed away on Christmas Day of last year at the age of 19. With his spirit living on through the program, the Utes finished the 2021 college football season with history.
At 10-3, No. 10 Utah earned its first-ever Rose Bowl birth with a 38-10 route of Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship.
In turn, the Utes are set to take over Pasadena. When the ‘Granddaddy Of Them All’ kicks off on New Year’s Day, the stadium will be filled with red.
Although both participating programs have red as their primary color, Ohio State has struggled to sell tickets while Utah cannot keep up with the demand. The stands are going to be predominantly packed with those making the trip west from Salt Lake City.
Not only is the crowd going to be in favor of the Utes, but their uniforms are bringing the juice. Utah released its kit for the Rose Bowl and they are the greatest in the history of the game, said with no hyperbole.
They’re beautiful, let’s take a look:

Icy white from head to toe, the old-school number font and intricate details on the shoulders are red.

Rather than the school’s standard helmet sticker, the Utes are going with their throwback logo. It’s so clean.

While the jersey and pants are perfect, it is the helmets that are truly remarkable. In between the interlocking Us, a rose is perched perfectly below the top U, adjacent to the bottom U. They are not only the best lids in Rose Bowl history, but they are amongst the best in history.

To make things even more special, Utah’s helmets honor the legacy of Ty Jordan. To the upper right of the green leaf, a small No. 22 is discreetly featured inside the rose pedal.
