The 2022-23 Stanley Cup champions, the Vegas Golden Knights, unveiled their championship rings in a private ceremony on Sunday night in Vegas.

This was Nevada’s first championship from the ‘Big 4’ in American sports (Football, Basketball, Basketball, and Hockey) and more specifically, this championship meant a LOT to the city of Las Vegas. So long before the Vegas Golden Knights championship rings were debuted you just knew they were going to go big with these, and they did.

Vegas Golden Knights Unveil Championship Rings Full Of Easter Eggs

At a private team ceremony held Sunday night at the Wynn in Las Vegas, the Golden Knights players and staff received their Stanley Cup rings that were packed full of symbolism and references to the team. The Knights released a lot of images of the rings as well as a video detailing just how spectacular they are:

In a press release on the NHL’s website, the Golden Knights revealed the tiny details that make these rings so special. The run down is:

— There are roughly 12 carats of white and yellow diamonds in these rings, symbolic of the Golden Knights’ team colors.

— The rings feature a detachable top that can be worn as a pendant. Underneath the top is a replica the T-Mobile Arena where the Knights play in Vegas. The ice appears exactly as it did during Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals, the game where Vegas clinched the Stanley Cup.

— ‘Vegas Born’ and ‘Always Advance’, the Golden Knights’ two team mottos, are featured on the two sides of the rings and the mottos are connected by the iconic Las Vegas strip skyline.

— ‘It’s Knight Time’ is engraved on the back of the pendant. And ‘Cup In Six’, the prediction from team owner Bill Foley, is found inside of the ring.

— There are 67 white diamonds on the team’s primary logo representing the team’s regular season + playoffs wins.

— 16 stars on the ring’s front represent the 16 Stanley Cup Playoffs wins.

— 32 diamonds on the ring’s inner bezel are there to represent all 32 NHL teams.

— There are six stones surrounding a Stanley Cup made of diamonds, six stones representing the six seasons the Vegas Golden Knights franchise has existed. That is set in a star shape matching the team’s ‘Vegas Strong’ banner that honors the victims of the horrific October 1 shooting in Las Vegas.

— In total, the .54 carats of diamonds on that Stanley Cup match the franchise’s 54 career Stanley Cup Playoffs wins.

The Vegas Golden Knights championship rings were designed and made by famous jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills. Knights owner Bill Foley said “Knowing the track record of Jason of Beverly Hills, I was confident that they could create a ring as distinctive as our city and as spectacular as the season this team put together. It’s clear they exceeded expectations and created a design I am sure our players, staff, and fans will cherish.”

The team shared hi-res images on their social channels of the rings and the private ceremony. Am I crazy or does the gold on these Vegas Golden Knights championship rings pop more than typical gold?

The Golden Knights have a fan program where diehard fans can purchase three different replica rings. Those range in price from $9,995 to $895, and there are other championship jewelry options available for purchase.

Now marks the start of their quest to repeat. The Golden Knights open their season on Tuesday against the Seattle Kraken in a battle between the NHL’s two newest teams.

The success seen by the Golden Knights in their six seasons has been unprecedented in professional sports. They are now +1300 to repeat as Stanley Cup champions with the Colorado Avalanche listed as favorites (+850) followed by the Carolina Hurricanes (+900).
