On Thursday, a woman came forward with accusations that Conor McGregor “violently” assaulted her sexually in a bathroom at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
The assault allegedly took place following Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the same game during which McGregor sent the Heat mascot to the hospital after assaulting it on the court in a bit gone wrong.
Thursday afternoon, a letter to Conor McGregor’s team outlining the woman’s accusations was made public and went into graphic detail about the alleged sexual assault.
“After the game, and after Mr. McGregor sent the Miami Heat mascot Burnie to the hospital, Mr. McGregor elevated his aggressive, unprovoked, and outrageous behavior by violently sexually assaulting and battering this firm’s client in the men’s bathroom of the Kaseya Center,” the letter claims.
“Mr. McGregor, aided and abetted by the NBA and Miami Heat Kaseya security, had the victim physically forced via security into the men’s bathroom, separating her from her friend and trapping her inside with Mr. McGregor and his security guard.”
The letter goes on to say Conor McGregor forced himself on the woman multiple times.
Early Friday morning, TMZ Sports released a video that shows Conor McGregor taking his accuser by the hand and leading her into a bathroom inside the Kaseya Center.
In the video, it doesn’t appear as if the alleged victim was in any way forced to enter the bathroom, but it does show three men appearing to guard the door to the bathroom after McGregor and the woman entered it.
“My client was under the belief they were leaving and going to the Four Seasons Hotel, as Conor had previously asked her to join him at his hotel room,” the woman’s attorney Ariel Mitchell said in a statement.
“The man with the braids then stopped at the door of the bathroom, when Conor grabbed my client (as seen in the video). My client believed they were leaving, but instead Conor took her into the restroom.”
Following the release of the video, TMZ reports that McGregor’s attorney, Barbara R. Llanes, said, “After the video was released by TMZ, the claimant’s lawyer now has changed her story. Mr. McGregor welcomes the investigation, which he firmly believes will show the claims against him are false. After not responding to the demand for money made by claimant’s counsel, she turned to the media to apply pressure. This is no more than a shakedown.”
Earlier this week, McGregor announced on LIVE With Kelly and Mark that he and his fiancee, Dee Devlin, are expecting their fourth child together.
