Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama is having an eventful week and is already the subject of an NBA conspiracy theory.

On Thursday, Wembanyama was drafted #1 overall in the NBA draft by the San Antonio Spurs and then had dinner with several Spurs legends.

Wembanyama had dinner with Robinson, Duncan and Ginóbili Friday evening, and spoke warmly of the experience in a press conference Saturday afternoon.

“In probably a couple hours, I learned more about the NBA than I learned my whole life before, you know?” Wembanyama said. “It’s so comforting to see that these people who are so important to the city of San Antonio and to the franchise are such kind people, and generous… I feel like they’ve already started to take great care of me. It’s just so comforting to be in that position.”

Not long after getting drafted and having dinner with the Spurs legends, Wemby had his first shootaround while wearing a Spurs jersey. Unfortunately, a video of Wemby shooting several bricks in a row during his practice session instantly went viral on the Internet and was mysteriously deleted.

NBA fans vowed to recover and reupload the videos of Wemby bricking shots in practice.

“The coverup is now underway, but rest assured in knowing that I will work tirelessly to locate the now deleted video footage of Wemby badly missing all his shots.

For the people.”

Of course nothing ever gets truly deleted from the Internet and fans reuploaded the video on Twitter.
