The Vikings and Chargers didn’t hold back from mocking Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russin over their scandal.
On Thursday, the NFL indicated that they would not punish teams for trolling Vrabel and Russini in their schedule release videos.
“This is the day when teams are licensed to poke fun at each other. The (Vrabel story) has become such a public matter that teams can take the shot. You may get a call from the Patriots. But the league is not going to get involved,” one source tells FOS.
“The only time Park Avenue messages the teams is around labor, CBA, or the refs. The moments when they’re trying to negotiate—and they want everyone on message. If the Jets, Bills, or Chargers choose to ridicule Vrabel, that’s an issue between the teams. The league doesn’t need to mediate that.”
With the green light from the league, the Chargers and Vikings decided to take shots at Vrabel and Russini.
In their schedule release video, the Vikings decided to mock teams by turning them into dinner meals, which included Russini-flavored cookies.

The Chargers took it a bit further, putting up signs trolling Vrabel and Russini in their video game-inspired schedule-release video.
For those wondering, the #Chargers didn’t avoid the elephant in the room in their schedule release video when they were up to the #Patriots:

It’s going to be a long season for Mike Vrabel and the Patriots, who are definitely going to get mocked over the Russini scandal all season by opposing teams.
