Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs explained in lengthy detail the 36 hours leading up to his trade from the Cardinals and how coach Jonathan Gannon lied to his face multiple times, via FOX9.

On the Sunday leading up to the trade, after a 31-24 loss to the Ravens, Gannon told him he’d start against the Browns the next week.

Gannon then told Dobbs the next day on Monday he’s starting rookie Clayton Tune over him, but that he would not be getting traded.

Dobbs: “He looked at me in the face and said, you’re not getting traded; you’re not being released. You’re going to be here in Arizona.”

The next day on Tuesday morning? Dobbs said he woke up to a text from his agent saying he could be traded to the Vikings or be traded back to the Browns.

Dobbs was then traded to the Vikings, where he would come off the bench and play most of the Falcons game on Sunday, only 5 days following the trade, and winning 31-28.

Dobbs won Offensive Player of the Week honors and earned another start next week against the Saints. What a story.
