Ex-Tampa Bay Buccaneers teammates wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson and defensive tackle Warren Sapp are caught up in a heated war of words.

Sapp, known for his dominant Hall of Fame career and outlandish personality who’s gotten him in trouble in the past, recently discussed his time playing alongside star wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson in an interview on Fearless with Jason Whitlock.

The duo played together for four seasons on the Bucs from 2000 to 2003, winning Super Bowl XXXVII in the 2002 season against the Raiders.

While Sapp acknowledged Johnson was a good player, he made it clear he wouldn’t want to be his teammate again.

Sapp criticized Johnson’s leadership skills, stating, “He [Johnson] didn’t lead us at all. That’s why we got Joe Jurevicius and went and got Keenan McCardell.”

Keyshawn Johnson fired back at Sapp’s comments, calling him a liar and an “embarrassment to society” in a tweet.

Johnson wrote, “Please stop lying, I would never in a million years follow your sorry ass ever. You are an embarrassment to society…sorry, and I mean sorry… please keep my name out your mouth, fake ass MF..sad, go get some help..tired of you using my name. The only dude I would follow is #55.”

It’s obvious that tensions are running high between the former teammates, we’ll see if this war of words continues to escalate.
