Jan Ross, the wife of WWE Hall of Fame commentator Jim Ross, has died.
Ross announced the tragic news on Twitter on Wednesday night.
On Monday night, Jan was riding a Vespa without a helmet when she was hit by a 17-year-old driving a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis. Both the car and Vespa caught fire. She suffered multiple skull fractures and brain injuries. Jan was rushed to OU Medical Center where she underwent surgery and was put into a medically induced coma.
In a blog post, Jim wrote that if Jan was wearing a helmet she “arguably would have prevented the extreme nature of her injuries.”
On Wednesday morning Jan Ross died at the age of 55.
The wrestling world offered their condolences to Jim Ross after losing his wife of 24 years.
