Wyndham Clark is the hottest name in golf following his impressive win at the US Open, and his world golf ranking is reflecting that. The PGA Tour star has ascended up the OWGR standings, now ranking as a top 15 player in the sport.

Clark has landed a pair of wins on the Tour since May, his first career wins as a PGAT member. The Open win in Los Angeles was his first major tournament victory.

As a result, he’s seeing a new wave of exposure, for both him and his family members. It’s also come with a nice little pay bump in 2023.

In fact, the golfer’s made more than $7.5 million over the last six weeks with a pair of $3.6 million payouts at the US Open and Wells Fargo Championship. For perspective, that’s reportedly 3x more than he’d made over his last six years on the links.

Through the 2022-23 season, he’s ripped off 11 top 25 finishes, seven of which he’s landed in the top 10. That, of course, includes those two Tour wins while making an impressive 19 of 22 cuts this year.

Wyndham Clark now ranks fourth the FedEx Cup standings, and his rise up the Official World Golf Rankings has been meteoric.

In fact, he’s risen 300 spots in just over a year. Clark sat at 313th just last May, but he’s been on an absolute tear of late on his way to 13th in the world.

Fans were quick to comment on the improbable ascension.

One person wrote, “What a performance,” in response to his US Open win. “It’s hard not to pull for this young man.”

Someone else said, “This dude is trending!”

Another follower mentioned Clark’s leap in the Ryder Cup standings as he moved from 10th to 2nd following his latest victory. “Sleeper for the Ryder cup?” the fan asked. I think so.

It’s been a fantastic season for Wyndham Clark, and the rankings reflect that. We’ll see if he can keep the momentum going as he closes out his most impressive professional campaign.
