There are a lot of people we’re going to be keeping an eye on during the Rio Summer Olympics. That is, assuming none of them get violently ill or robbed.
That list includes the obvious folks like Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, the US women’s gymnastics team, but here’s another one to add to your watch list when the Games begin: Yvonne Hayek.
If that last name sounds familiar it’s because she is, deep breath, Salma Hayek’s father’s cousin’s granddaughter.
Hayek will be competing in the long jump, the first woman in 48 years to do so for the Mexican Olympic team. That’s because the 27-year-old is the current holder of the Mexican record with a jump of 21 feet, 11-3/4 inches and a three-time Mexican national champion.
Girl’s got skills.
Here a little look at her in action as well some shots from the rest of her life on Instagram.
