Back in September, I told y’all about the brand new adidas x Yoda Ultraboosts sneakers, released as a part of adidas’s partnership with Disney to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back. The Yoda Ultraboosts follow on the heels of a couple other drops from the collection, including Star Wars NMD_R1and my personal favorite, Boba Fett Top Ten Hi. They also released Skywalker Stan Smiths, Darth Vader Superstars, and all-white Princess Leia-inspired Ultraboost DNAs.
Adidas has a new Star Wars collab honoring everyone’s favorite Wookiee: Chewbacca. The furry co-pilot of the Millennial Falcon is immortalized with a limited edition drop of Rivalry Hi sneakers covered in wook brown fur and Chewie’s signature Rebel Alliance belt.
The fur reminds me of the limited edition Nike x Grateful Dead SBs, inspired by the the Grateful Dead bears.
It’s about time wooks get their own sneaker.
According to the listing on adidas.com, the adidas Chewbacca sneakers drop this week on Thursday, October 22 at 10AM ET / 7AM PT.
