No one is having a better first day of the Republican National Convention than Stephen Colbert.
He began his morning by doffing a wig and jumping on stage, calling the convention to order (which he is not allowed to do).
Security escorted him off the stage, but Colbert got the last laugh.
He will be joined all week on his live show from Cleveland by Jon Stewart.
That’s right. The comedian whom many thought could have been a panacea to this year’s election disillusionment will be with Colbert all freaking week.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stewart will also be with him for the Democratic National Convention next week in Philadelphia.
Expect some good zingers.
