Jamie Foxx Saved A Man’s Life After A Truck Crashed And Burst Into Flames In front Of His House

Think whatever you want about actor Jamie Foxx, earlier this week he saved a man’s life. Last night, around 8:30PM, 32-year-old Brett Kyle lost control of his Toyota Tacoma in front of Foxx’s Venture County, California home. According to ABC 7, he struck a drainage pipe, which caused the truck to roll and catch fire. The driver was trapped inside.

Foxx was home at the time. He called 911 and then started to rescue Kyle. Via ABC 7:

Foxx said he heard the crash, called 911 and then he rushed down to the scene. The truck was already on its side and on fire. The door was locked, and the window was up.

With help from another man, Foxx pulled Kyle out of the burning wreckage. The two broke the car window using EMT scissors, cut the seat belt and pulled Kyle out to safety.

“I grabbed the scissors from him, cut the seatbelt,” Foxx said. “As we pulled him out, within five seconds later, the truck goes up (in flames).”

Here’s a pic that ABC 7 obtained via a group called Safety For Citizens:

Brett Kyle broke his collarbone and punctured his lung. He was arrested for driving under the influence, according to ABC 7.

Foxx talked to the local news this evening, which you can watch above.
