The Beatles biopics are currently being filmed in England
The stars of the upcoming biopics about The Beatles were spotted in London recreating the iconic cover for the band’s famed Abbey Road album. Abbey Road, released in 1969, was the band’s eleventh and final (in terms of when it was recorded) album.
Videos from the set of the four Beatles biopics being filmed in the U.K. show actors Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney), Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr), and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison) recreating the iconic Abbey Road album cover on the actual zebra crossing in London, in full costume and character.

The footage is the first substantial look at the four leads together in character outside of official promotional stills.

At this time, the ambitious project is officially titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.
The four films — which have the blessing of the Beatles’ estates — are all being directed by Skyfall filmmaker Sam Mendes simultaneously — each focused on a different member of the band — with a planned simultaneous theatrical release in April 2028 designed to function as a “bingeable” event across all four pictures.
In addition to the four Beatles, additional cast members include Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, James Norton as Brian Epstein, and more.
