No matter where you’re from, everyone has some sort of accent that’s unique to their region. Whether it’s those midwest folks who pronounce their “O’s” like “ah’s,” or those with all that southern twang handing out some home cookin’, some words just don’t sound the same way because of the dialect of a certain area of the country.
That just makes us all unique, right? Yeah, I’ll keep telling myself that.
Well, thanks to a new survey conducted by Big 7 Travel, we now have a better idea about which accent in the United States is the most (and least) sexy — and those living in New Jersey might want to avoid ever speaking again, per the results. That’s because the poll found that those from The Garden State have the least sexy accent in the country, presumably not being fans of the whole gym, tan, laundry mantra from those on the Jersey Shore.
As for which accent ranked sexiest in the survey? That’d be all y’all cowboys and cowgirls down in the Lone Star State, where the sweet sound of your voices seems to be a major turn on for the majority of people. In other words…
Look, it’s hard for anyone to resist a Texas accent, thanks to the slow, confident drawl that makes every native Texan just seem a little cooler and calmer than the average person. Here’s what the description from Big 7 Travel had to say about the accent taking its top spot.
Who can resist a slow, Texan drawl? Not us, and not our community, clearly, as this is the second year in a row that Texan came out on top! The typical Texan accent is a “Southern accent with a twist”, with strong ‘r’s and plenty of ‘Howdy’s’. America’s sexiest accent? We’d have to agree.

Damn, Jersey is voted worse than Appalachian? No offense (I’m a Kentucky grad), but, sheesh, it’s hard to even understand some of those people most of the time. Poor Jersey, which continues to be the armpit of America — unless it comes to pizza, of course.
