Alex Rodriguez didn’t take long to insert himself into the conversation about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck getting a divorce.

While not addressing the breakup directly, the timing of Rodriguez sharing a cryptic quote on his Instagram Stories drew the attention of many. The message also seemed to be all too coincidental.

It read, “You either go one way or the other, you might as well be the one deciding the direction.”.

Of course, he shared a quote from himself because A-Rod.

Not that it should come as much surprise to anyone who saw how Alex Rodriguez was all but stalking Jennifer Lopez after she reportedly called off their engagement in 2021.

In a since-deleted Instagram photo that A-Rod shared well after he and JLo called it quits, he was seen leaning against what appeared to be the car he gave Lopez for her 50th birthday.

Prior to that, he just happened to vacation in St. Tropez, renting a yacht at the same time JLo was doing the exact same thing with Ben Affleck.

And before that, Alex Rodriguez rented a house in the Hamptons located just three minutes from his ex-fiancee’s home.

Yeah, dude was down BAD.

Things got so bad that one of Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husbands, Marc Anthony, actually laughed at a report about Alex Rodriguez still wanting to get back with JLo.

So yeah, it’s not at all surprising that A-Rod would have make a not-so-subtle commentary on her breakup from Ben Affleck.

Naturally, people that are aware of his history with Lopez had all sorts of fun in the comments on Instagram.

“Conquer JLo again,” one person wrote.

There were other comments as well, but as I was writing this the people who posted Alex Rodriguez’s quote turned off the comments. Wonder why?

One thing is for sure, Alex Rodriguez will never, ever give up no matter how many times he fails. This much we know. Because he told us.
