American Airlines Flight Diverted Because Passenger Wouldn’t Stop Doing Pull-Ups On The Overhead Compartment

A passenger was so dedicated to his workout regimen that he did pull-ups on an American Airlines airplane. Even during the flight. Even after he was warned by flight crew to stop doing pull-ups. Even after the flight crew threatened to divert the commercial airliner. Never-the-less he persisted.

According to passengers on American Airlines Flight 2763, an unidentified man boarded the plane with a woman and two dogs. Other passengers noted that the man ordered alcohol during the flight and appeared to be intoxicated. Drunk… with wanting to get some reps in.

“He was leaning up against where you put the bags overhead and a passenger came by and said ‘What are you going to do, some pull-ups?’ and the guy actually grabbed on to it and started doing some pull-ups on the plane in front of everybody,” said passenger David Markoski.

Markoski noted that the exercise enthusiast became belligerent. “He would not sit down. The flight attendant probably asked him about three or four times to sit down and he refused to sit down and then he really got verbally abusive with her, starting calling her names,” Markoski said.

The man refused to stop working out because he needed his gains even on a plane. Meanwhile, you’ll abandon going to the gym if you see one tiny, potential rain cloud.

The American Airlines flight left from Phoenix and was bound to Boston, but because of the pull-up maniac the airliner carrying 147 passengers and six crew members was diverted to Kansas City, Missouri. Imagine having your travel plans destroyed because some hardo wouldn’t stop doing pull-ups. The flight finally touched down in Boston about 90 minutes after it was scheduled to arrive.

“PHX-BOS diverted to MCI due to an unruly passenger last night. Passenger was removed by law enforcement, and flight re-departed,” American Airlines said in a statement. No arrests and no charges have been made as of Tuesday. Guilty… of keeping his lats tight.
