Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Ashley Graham was the target of body shaming this week by a woman on social media. The model responded to the Twitter troll in the best way possible.

On Monday, the account of Sameera Khan posted a derogatory message about the “fat positivity” movement with Graham’s pictures attached. Khan then went into a tweet rage, doubling and tripling down on her hate for curvy women.

Khan’s original post showed Ashley Graham walking out of her hotel lobby in a short gold dress and matching high heeled boots. The caption read as follows.

“The fat positivity movement is getting out of hand.”

The self-proclaimed “anti-woke journo” then continued her wrath. She later called the supermodel disparaging names then bizarrely claimed that “studies show poor, stressed out men prefer fat women.”

Not surprisingly, she couldn’t post a link to that research, and many Twitter users quickly blasted her for the remarks.

One person wrote, “The fact that you have to make a statement like this at all only shows your insecurities,” while another commented, “There is only one ugly thing in this post,” referring to the OP.

Ashley Graham apparently caught wind of the hate, and quickly responded with a message of her own.

Graham tweeted out a photo of her in that same gold dress, with a caption that read, “Quote tweet this with a photo of you taking ‘fat positivity’ too far. I’ll start.”

Mic dropped.

Graham is a veteran in the modeling industry, most notably rising to fame when she joined SI Swim in 2016. She was featured on the magazine’s cover in that ’16 edition. Here’s more from her Sports Illustrated bio.

Ashley Graham, who appeared on the SI Swimsuit cover as a rookie in 2016, is a leading advocate for body positivity and inclusion. She wrote her first book, A New Model: What Confidence, Beauty, and Power Really Look Like, in 2017. In addition to modeling, Ashley has her own line of lingerie and swimwear and appeared as a judge on America’s Next Top Model.

Many of Graham’s features have been posted to her personal Instagram page, some of which can be found below.

This latest body shaming attempt has quickly backfired for the original poster, and it doesn’t look like Ashley Graham is letting it put her down.
