An Atlanta ex-Dunkin' employee posted a series of allegations against her former workplace. Here's what she said.

An Atlanta ex-Dunkin’ worker called out her former workplace in a series of scathing posts. She claims the location she worked at has unsavory cleanliness practices withheld her last paycheck.

In her first video, which received more than 199,000 views, TikToker Ak Roulette (@akroulette) walks into her former workplace with a request: She wants her check in hand. Eventually, however, she walks out without her paycheck.

In subsequent videos, she details how continued efforts to get her check failed.

‘ I’m Going Up To My Dirty … Old Job’

In the TikToker’s first video, she films herself walking straight into her old workplace. Her experience, it seems, was less than pleasant.

The content creator claims that a manager or employee at the location is holding her last paycheck hostage. She says someone at the store is withholding it because she got a new job. “ She’s holding it hostage ’cause she’s upset I’m bettering myself,” the TikToker claims.

On her way into the Dunkin’ location, the woman warns customers—who are off camera—to avoid purchasing anything from the location. Then, she makes her way to the cashier’s register, where she greets an employee named “Shelby.”

The TikToker gets straight to the point.

“ Hey, Shelby, why you not answering the phone?” she asks.  ”Why are you withholding my paycheck?”

The employee says, “Sorry?” Then the TikToker asks again, “ Why are you withholding my paycheck?”

She explains that she’s been waiting to get her last paycheck. She says that she texted, called, and tried to get in touch repeatedly.

“ I need my paycheck now,” the TikToker says. But the employee tells her she doesn’t have it.

The TikToker continues to go back and forth with the employee. Eventually, the video cuts to the content creator walking outside the business. She warns another group of passersby not to get anything at Dunkin’ before leaving.

Ex-Dunkin Worker’s Claims About Workplace

The TikToker didn’t tell her audience how the relationship between her and her co-workers soured. She did, however, make a few shocking allegations about the location she worked at in a subsequent post.

In a follow-up video, she says that, sometimes, employees make the wrong drink for customers. She says that when that happens, employees save the drinks for future orders.

“ They’re gonna … take some of it out. They’re gonna put some new ice in there; they’re gonna mix it up, and they’re gonna give it to you,” she says.

The TikToker also says that her former workplace doesn’t serve customers fresh bagels or baked goods. According to her, employees are encouraged to serve customers “hard” baked goods that sit out for days.

Additionally, she alleges that the “side creamers” at the location were often spoiled. She even says that she’s used to tell customers they were “out” of creamers so that they wouldn’t get spoiled products.

“ Sometimes rejection is protection,” she says.

Can A Workplace Hold Your Paycheck Hostage After You Leave?

In Georgia, there are specific rules that determine when employers are legally required to provide a final paycheck. AllVoices notes that “A final paycheck is due on the next regularly scheduled payday, regardless of whether the employee resigned or was terminated.”

It’s unclear exactly when the TikToker left her job, although she indicates that it’s been roughly two weeks since she left her workplace.

Eventually, the TikToker posted a video saying that she got her paycheck.

But viewers told the content creator to be careful, especially given her allegations against Dunkin’.

“Girl, call the health department,” one viewer said.

Another viewer said, “I’m happy you received your check, but say no more about the establishment unless you can show proof to back that up. They have you on camera saying you won’t [say] anything after getting your check.”
