At the turn of the millennium, the members of the Jackass crew found themselves thrusts into the spotlight after their MTV show took the world by storm, but anyone who’s followed them over the years knows it hasn’t exactly been the smoothest journey.

Steve-O may have been able to overcome his well-documented issues with substance abuse, but Bam Margera has spent years grappling with similar problems that have repeatedly caused his name to end up in the headlines for all of the wrong reasons.

Margera has bounced in and out of rehab over the past few years, and his refusal to commit to a sober lifestyle caused some major drama after the rest of his co-stars decided to exclude him from the filming of Jackass Forever.

Based on the candid conversation Margera had with Steve-O last year, it seemed like he was in a pretty solid place and willing to move beyond what’s transpired in the past. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for him to fall off the wagon yet again, and it appears like his relationship with the crew is firmly on the rocks based on a new development.

Earlier this week, rappers Cult Shotta and Tanboymiguel dropped a track titled “feel like bam” that features Margera spitting some bars and taking the time to fire a few shots at the various Jackass members he accuses of wronging him.

In the song, Margera challenges Johnny Knoxville to settle their differences in the boxing ring, brags about the fact that he’s the only member of the crew who could hold their own on a skateboard at the expense of Steve-O and Wee Man, and calls out Jackass director and producer Jeff Tremaine over a purported contract clause that made him immune to the various physical punishments everyone else on the set is subjected to.

On Monday, Steve-O hopped on Instagram to take issue with Margera’s call-out and prove he knows his way around a skateboard.

I didn’t think this saga could get much stranger than it already was, but I’ve been proven very, very wrong.
