If you haven’t watched Black Mirror on Netflix yet, you are really missing out. The anthology series is a riveting compilation of scenarios where our dependence on technology, for the most part, comes back to bite us square in the behind. Heck, the episode titled Nosedive is literally coming true!
The only problem with the show is that over four seasons there have been just 19 shows. What’s up with that?
So if you have been watching and like me are totally and completely hooked, having to wait for season five of Black Mirror to come out is just dreadful. (You do know what the title of the show means, right?)
There is a quick fix though. It turns out that Netflix produced a spin-off of the show and put all of the episodes on YouTube. However, for some reason, they only did this in Poland so far.
The spin-off version of the show, called Czarne Lusterko (Black Mirror), consists of four relatively short episodes that are similar in nature to what we’ve come to expect from Black Mirror, i.e. technology run amok.
Polish web site Spider’s Web, explained the hows and whys of this spin-off…
After the huge success of Black Mirror, Netflix came up with the idea of making Polish production modeled on the British series. The platform invited a group of well-known online creators to the project.
The short films were created by YouTube personalities Krzysztof Gonciarz, Martin Stankiewicz, emce square and the Darwin Film Group and each episode got a poster to help promote it on social media.
Watch the trailer for the series as well as all four episodes below. If the English subtitles don’t automatically appear, just use the Subtitles/Closed Captions button in the bottom right-hand corner.
