While The Mandalorian has already completed its epic first season and wrapped production on its second season, the same cannot be said about the other upcoming Star Wars series on Disney+.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the Ewan McGregor-starring Obi-Wan Kenobi series was being rewritten as the plot was considered to be too similar to that of The Mandalorian. Then, just a few weeks later, news broke that the Diego Luna-starring Cassian Andor series was also being delayed due to rewrites.

Despite those delays, it appears that the Cassian Andor series is beginning to take shape, as The Illuminerdi is reporting that they’ve gotten their hands on the official synopsis for the series.

Follows the adventures of Rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Diego Luna will reprise the role of Andor, which he originated in the 2016 film. The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire. [via The Illuminerdi]

The leak of the plot synopsis comes just a month after reports indicated that the series was being delayed to be rewritten due to “script issues”.

At this time, it is unclear when the Obi-Wan Kenobi series or the Cassian Andor series will premiere. Luckily, though, season two of The Mandalorian is set to be released in October.
