Comedian Chelsea Handler has doubled-down on her criticism of fellow The Roast of Kevin Hart performers Shane Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe. Handler labeled the pair as being “racist, sexist bigots.”

During a recent interview on Deon Cole’s Funny Knowing You podcast, Chelsea Handler did not hold back in her ripping of Shane Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe for the jokes they made during Netflix’s The Roast of Kevin Hart.

Chelsea Handler calls Shane Gillis and Tony Hinchcliffe “racist, sexist bigots” in latest critique of the jokes they made during The Roast of Kevin Hart

“I knew enough about Tony and Shane — they’re racists, they’re bigots, they’re sexist,” Handler said. “I don’t find those jokes funny. Lynching Black people is not a joke. It’s worse than rape.”

“Them making fun of Sheryl Underwood’s dead husband who committed suicide is gross. I wasn’t fine with that. There was so much disgustingness, I knew it was gonna be a gross vibe.”

The joke from the roast that earned the most divisive response was Hinchcliffe’s crack about George Floyd — his second Floyd joke across two Netflix roasts (Kevin Hart and Tom Brady) — being in hell.

“The Black community is so proud of you… right now George Floyd is looking up at us all laughing so hard he can’t breathe,” Hinchcliffe said during the roast.

During her set at the Kevin Hart roast, Handler took multiple shots at the duo, particularly Hinchcliffe.

“Tony and Shane, this must be so exciting for you guys. Usually on Sunday nights, you just burn a cross on someone’s lawn, and tonight you get to roast a whole Black guy… If you’re here tonight, who’s keeping Joe Rogan’s balls warm in their mouth?”

“Tony is what happens when women don’t have safe access to abortion care… I didn’t know veneers came in deli mustard yellow. You must be using Crest White Supremacist Strips.”

“Tony, you have the face of a school shooter and the personality of someone who gets shot first.”

Gillis and Hinchcliffe (who called her a “cold frigid b—-“), for their part, got in their own pointed shots at Handler during the roast.

“Chelsea is a Zionist. Not saying that’s a good or bad thing. Speaking of dead kids, she’s a big fan of abortions. Chelsea’s been scraped more times than the grill at Benihana,” Gillis said while introducing her. “Speaking of tossing tiny shrimp into a child’s mouth, Chelsea Handler went to dinner at Jeffrey Epstein’s house in 2010. Look it up, there’s articles.”

Ever commerce-focused Kevin Hart, despite the backlash from people within his own community, has since defended Hinchcliffe in particular, saying he was “relentless as he always is, but funny” and declared that the comedian “understood the assignment.”
