Dan Crenshaw Called Pete Davidson After ‘SNL’ Star’s Cry For Help And Gave Him Some Great Advice

In November, Pete Davidson made a joke during SNL at the expense of Dan Crenshaw, who was a Navy SEAL who lost his eye from an IED while serving in Afghanistan. “You may be surprised to hear he’s a congressional candidate for Texas and not a hit-man in a porno movie,” Davidson said of Crenshaw during the “Weekend Update” segment of Saturday Night Live. “I’m sorry. I know he lost his eye in war — or whatever,” Davidson said. Davidson has since apologized to Crenshaw. On this past Saturday, Pete posted an alarming Instagram post where he said: “I really don’t want to be on his earth anymore. I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer can last. all I’ve ever tried to do was help people. just remember I told you so.” Lieutenant Commander Dan Crenshaw put past feelings behind him and called Pete to check on him and even give some great advice.

“I talked to him personally,” Crenshaw said while appearing on KPRC2 Houston. “We don’t go back very far. We’re not good friends. But I think he appreciated hearing from me. I told him everyone had a purpose in this world. God put you here for a reason. It’s your job to find that purpose. And you should live that way.”

“Know you have value,” Crenshaw told Davidson on the phone on Sunday. “Especially a guy like that: sometimes he makes people laugh. Sometimes makes peopled mad. But he makes people laugh a lot. It was a good conversation.”

After Davidson made fun of Crenshaw, Pete apologized and welcomed the Navy SEAL onto SNL to allow Dan to roast him and get some revenge.

Crenshaw would have the last laugh as the Republican politician won his congressional election in November. Dan Crenshaw definitely seems like a quality person. You can read more about the sacrifices that Dan Crenshaw made while serving this country HERE.
