Daniel Craig isn’t quite a method actor, but he does put a good portion of himself into film roles. He makes every attempt to be as real as possible, and it’s evident in the five James Bond films in which he’s portrayed secret agent 007.

He takes pride in playing the role which explains why he’s reportedly been difficult on the set of the yet-to-be-named “Bond 25” movie.

If the rumors are true, Craig might be a pain in the ass not just because the movie has no official title or script, but because the role is quite literally a pain in the actor’s ass. And in his back, shoulders and other various body parts.

Craig insists on doing all his own stunts in the 007 movies, and the various bumps, bruises, and breaks aren’t much fun for a man over 50. These stunts aren’t just “roll around and fake punch people” either.

For example, Craig isn’t fond of heights – according to the movie’s stunt coordinator – and in “Quantum of Solace” the actor jumped out of a three-story window onto moving bus.

Esquire put together this hit list of all the times Daniel Craig has been injured while filming James Bond movies and it’s making me sore just reading.

In the 2006 film “Casino Royale,” Craig lost his two front teeth during a fight scene. “He put his hand to his mouth, but the blood started to seep through his fingers—it was horrible,” an unnamed source told The Sunday Mirror. “He did not make a fuss, though.”

While filming Spectre, the actor sprained his knee and filming was stopped for a few days and during the early shoots for the latest Bond film, Craig was flown from Jamaica to the United States to get X-rays on an injured ankle.

Finally, at some point during the filming of Quantum of Solace, Craig separated his shoulder and went to the hospital after LOSING THE TIP OF ONE OF HIS FINGERS.

“It wasn’t as extreme as all that. I lost the pad,” he told Playboy magazine at the time. “I was bleeding a lot,” he continued. “I had to get it cauterized. Filming stopped and everybody went, ‘Oh my God! He sliced the end of his finger off!’ They went looking for it, but couldn’t find it.”

It’s no wonder Craig wanted to quit the Bond franchise a few years ago but eventually reclaimed the role thanks to many dollar signs.

It’s also important to note that these are just the known injuries. God knows what injuries the guy suffers from in private.
