Dave Grohl ‘Adopts’ Fan During Foo Fighters Show – ‘I’ll Be Your Daddy’

I’m sure your dad is great (unless he left your family on Christmas morning when you were 6-years-old to start a new family with his secretary from work and never spoke to you since). But if you could pick one celebrity to be your father, you wouldn’t be wrong for wanting Dave Grohl as your pops. Grohl has a net worth of $280 million, has a kickass collection of guitars and drum kits, and while he goes on world tours for months on end, you could drive his $140,000 Tesla Model S P100D. So it makes sense why this fan wanted Dave Grohl to adopt him.

The Foo Fighters were performing at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston, Texas. The incredible American band was finishing up their set with the classic song “Big Me.” One of the fans in the first row held up a sign that said “NO DAD – BE MINE?” Being the ultra-cool rocker with a big heart, Grohl temporarily adopted the young man. “For the next four minutes. I’m gonna fucking, I’ll be your daddy,” Grohl said before breaking into “Big Me.” “Believe me, I ain’t no life coach, but I’ll rock your ass.”

Grohl invited the young fan named Landon up on stage and then greeted him with a big, ole hug. Then Grohl pinched Landon’s cheeks like a grandma. “I hope this is the best show that you’ve ever been to ’cause it certainly is for me,” Landon told the screaming crowd. Daddy Dave gave his new son another loving hug. Landon was then instructed by his new father to sit in the corner and watch the show.

“I have three daughters all under the age of 12, now I have a fucking 20-year-old? How’s that work? Holy shit,” Grohl said during the concert. Speaking of, Dave’s daughter Harper Grohl, who just turned 9-years-old last week, is already following in her father’s footsteps and has legit skills on the drums as seen HERE.

“I came here like, you know what, this is my first time being in the pit, I gotta do something, I want to get this guy’s attention because Dave Grohl is like, my idol,” Landon told The Houston Press. “So I think, hey, let me make a sign and I felt like it would get his attention. I didn’t want to (show) it in the beginning, so I did it in the end and it worked out. I’m being completely serious when I say I’ve dreamed about that exact thing happening for year.”

This comes a week after Grohl had a KISS fan play a tune with the Foo at a concert and three months after inviting a 22-year-old fan onto the stage to crush “Monkey Wrench” during a show. Let’s all daydream that Dave Grohl is our dad.
