Key Oppenheimer cast member and generally beloved actor David Krumholtz shared screenshots of “loudmouth” podcaster Michael Rapaport threatening him with violence. Throughout the exchange, Rapaport comes across as a pretend tough guy in high school trying to arrange a fight.

Michael Rapaport, who was once an actor and is now largely known for his ranting and raving videos on social media, slid into David Krumholtz’s DMs to invite him to a screening for his documentary Am I Cancelled Yet?.

Actor David Krumholtz exposed podcaster Michael Rapaport for sliding in his DMs to invite him to a screening and then threaten him

An incredulous Krumholtz not only rejected the invitation but gave Rapaport a piece of his mind, which instantly triggered the former Deep Blue Sea actor. Krumholtz posted screenshots of the full exchange to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday night, captioning it “my entire 100% real interaction with @michaelrapaport tonight. I blocked him….”

Rapaport messaged Krumholtz to invite him to a June 9th screening of Am I Cancelled Yet? at Tribeca Film Festival, which is a film about the backlash he received for his pro-Israel stance. Krumholtz’s initial response was a simple “F— off.”

The standoff escalated from there, with Krumholtz telling Rapaport to “go stalk Lily again” — a reference to Rapaport’s widely-reported history with actress Lili Taylor — and calling him “an embarrassment.”

“Congrats on the film. You made it. Could have been a real actor. Gave up on that s— to become a loudmouth,” Krumholtz messaged Rapaport.

From there, Rapaport devolved into threats of violence, saying he was going to “smack what you have left of hair on your head” before trying to arrange a meetup — suggesting Larchmont Starbucks, then Queens — in what can only be described as the most high school way to set up a fight imaginable.

Krumholtz will next be seen starring in Supergirl, which releases in June. Rapaport, meanwhile hasn’t starred in a movie since 2023 — the same year that Krumholtz put forth a quietly scene-stealing turn in Christopher Nolan’s Best Picture-winning Oppenheimer — and went viral earlier this year for being an incredibly annoying and occasionally offensive participant on the reality TV show Traitors.
