On the latest episode of The Elon Musk Show, the erratic Twitter CEO sat down for an interview with the BBC — the British news outlet that he’s spent the past week making sexual innuendos about — that saw the 51-year-old admit that his feelings have been hurt.

During the interview — which saw him describe his tenure as Twitter CEO as “painful” — Musk stated that he’s not impervious to the criticism he’s been receiving.

“I’ve been under constant attack. It’s not like I have a stone cold heart or anything. If you’re under constant criticism or attack and that gets fed to you including through Twitter – it’s rough, you know,” Musk said.

“Now at the end of the day I think if you do lose your feedback loop that’s not good so I think it is important to get negative feedback. I don’t turn replies off and I removed my entire block list so I don’t block anyone either. So I get a lot of negative feedback.”

In addition to his above comments about his hurt feelings, Musk also revealed that he would consider selling Twitter, but only to someone who would “pursue the truth.”

“If I was confident that they would rigorously pursue the truth, then I guess I would be glad to hand it over to someone else,” Musk said.

Musk officially acquired Twitter back in October 2022 and has since overseen a chaotic transition that has seen the app fundamentally change in numerous ways.

His big pet project Twitter Blue, for example, had fewer than 300,000 subscribers back in February and accounted for just $28 million in revenue, which represents less than one percent of the company’s revenue. He also recently said that he would be removing “legacy” blue checkmarks on April 1, which is a deadline he’s since pushed back to April 20.
