As we move through the 2026 World Cup, Norway’s Erling Haaland is definitely proving himself to be one to watch. But according to one spiritual guide, we might want to tread carefully.
Whether it be because social platforms are “rigged” or viral memes comparing him to “Dragon Ball Z” villain Majin Buu, the soccer star is everywhere on the internet right now. Part of this virility has led to spiritual creators making judgments about him.
On her website, Heaven First Healing, Sariah describes herself as a “spiritual intuitive.” She posts on TikTok under the handle @heavenfirsthealing, where she has 75,000 followers. As for this video, it has amassed 260,000 views.
In the video, Sariah agrees that Haaland is an “incredible athlete” but says she is now opening her “spiritual eyes” to him and can see a “component” to his immense talent that goes beyond the physical.
She describes him as having something called an “angelic plug.” This means that, energetically, there are “slots” on his back. Through these “slots,” she says that these angels will come “lift,” “push,” and “carry” him as he is running.
Sariah admits that she’s unsure if he’s religious. Still, she claims that the angels’ presence can mean a few things. It can mean he has a connection with God, he has a relative who has prayed on his behalf and asked for him to be supported, or, perhaps, he has received a blessing.
She adds that she doesn’t want to “invalidate” his work but remarks on how “cool” it is that there’s a “spiritual component” that is “physically strengthening” him.
‘Spiritual Armor’
Sariah also claims that Haaland is wearing “spiritual” armor. This includes a chest plate, arm guards, and leg guards. She adds that this armor feels “ancestral” and that she believes he is connected to lineage through his father.
Moreover, this armor, she says, feels like a “symbol” of his genealogical line’s power.
In an email conversation with BroBible, Sariah said, “I had been feeling guided to start a TikTok channel for some time, but I’ve always been a ghost online- I watched other people’s content but never made any of my own. But I kept being inspired to make a channel, so I decided to follow that prompting and just see where it goes. I never expected it to take off so quickly, it was such an amazing surprise! It was a huge confirmation to me that I was doing exactly what God was asking of me. “
As for the reception, Sariah said it has been “incredible.”
“Everyone is so supportive and engaging, and I have met some truly incredible people since I start doing content creation,” she said. “Of course there are some comments and stitched videos people will make that are angry, or rude, or whatever, but it really doesn’t bother me at all. The positive support I receive far outweighs any negative comments.”
She continued, “In just about every video I make I receive impressions or am shown things about the person that I know I should not share. This is for a variety of reasons- sometimes it’s because it is too personal to the subject of my video, or it could be something that could potentially get me in trouble if I were to share, and so forth. I try to be as careful as I can be so that I can share information and bring awareness to things without it crossing any lines.”
In terms of the World Cup in general, Sariah said she has “not been following the World Cup beyond a few clips that I have had come onto my feed.”
“I am pathetically ill-versed in sports, and have no interest in following them. I have however had a few people suggest that I look at the stadium and see what comes up during the final match, so I may make a video on that in the future once the World Cup is over,” she said.
What Did Commenters Say?
Commenters shared some of their opinions and findings connecting Haaland with spirituality.
“Another psychic said that he is heavily supported by and has huge ties to his ancestors who are Vikings and that he is surrounded by the magic of Norwegian fairies,” one wrote.
“He is known to meditate A LOT,” a second added.
“He has such a STRONG aura,” a third remarked.
While a fourth shared, “I saw a very childlike angelic spirit as soon as I opened my spirit to read his energy as well.”
And a fifth said, “There was another creator that read his energy, and she also brought up his ancestors/energy being very strongly behind him sports talent wise.”
Erling Haaland And Meditation
Indeed, as one commenter pointed out, Haaland is known for his love of meditation. Oftentimes, after he scores a goal, he will sit on the pitch cross-legged in a meditative-style pose. This is known as the Lotus position in yoga.
Back when he was part of Borussia Dortmund in 2020, Haaland told Esporte Interativo, “I really enjoy meditation. It makes feel calm and gives me tranquillity. This is why I sometimes celebrate like that when I score.”
In an interview with ESPN, sports psychologist George Mumford shared how meditation can be beneficial for soccer players.
“At the top level, you have to be able to accept anxiety and uncertainty so you can tune into what’s happening in that moment and shut out the noise,” he said. “Doing contemplative practice, like meditation, will help manage pressure and stress effectively and create space between stimulus and response, allowing for better decision-making. You have the power to choose your response, rather than just react.”
