Man Goes To Open House. Then They Capture The Room Being ‘Haunted’: ‘Bruh The Seller Gave Up So Quick’

Movies about haunted houses almost always start the same way. A family moves in, not knowing the evil that lurks within its walls. Bizarre activity begins to reveal itself incrementally, leading the film’s characters to question their sanity. Then, the hauntings become more and more prominent until it’s too late for the family to leave. Finally, they’re forced to confront the phenomenon head on after being subjected to a series of horrific incidents. And all the while the audience watches, shaking their heads. We always sit back and say, “Just leave!” Or we ruefully shake our heads and wish that the family in question knew about the dark secrets the home held prior to purchasing it.

However, one man may be doing just that—saving prospective buyers from unwittingly living in a haunted house. TikTok user Joseph (@soapymonsta7) claims that there’s a haunted house in his neighborhood. And he’s devoting his social media page to documenting the purported paranormal activity that goes on inside of it.

In one clip, he alleges to have documented proof of paranormal activity inside of the haunted house. “Ghost at open house tour,” a text overlay in the clip reads. The footage begins with a door’s handle turning by itself as it pops open. This prompts the person recording to say, “Oh no.”

The realtor says, “Let’s get out of here.”

Following this, the two men exit the room instantly.

Is The House Really Haunted?

Afterward, the clip cuts to the two men inspecting the same room before the door pops open. “How long has this home been on the market?” the man recording the video asks.

While he speaks, the sound of two, deliberate knocks can be heard coming from the same door. “You heard that?” the person behind the camera asks.

“H— no,” the realtor says.

“I’m not tripping. Did that just move?” the cameraman asks while a mirror in the room continues to rattle.

“That’s not normal,” the realtor says after making a comment about ghosts possibly residing in the home.

“That gotta be a mouse or something,” Joseph says, until the closet door cracks open, causing the two men to bolt from the premises immediately.

I’ve Witnessed Something Similar In Real Time

I’m a paranormal investigator myself. I co-created “Haunted Discoveries” with Brandon Alvis. He and I also penned a best-selling book on ghosts and hauntings and were lead investigators on A&E’s “Ghost Hunters“ and are releasing an upcoming documentary, “Ghosts of the Gold Rush.” Needless to say, we have a ton of experience in the field.

In season 2 of “Haunted Discoveries,” we encountered a similar phenomenon at the historic Speed Mansion, which, funnily enough, is also up for sale. While investigating the mansion, we documented a door knob in a room turning entirely by itself, followed by the sound of a woman singing.

When I saw the doorknob turning, along with its lock bolt disappearing inside of the door on our nerve center camera, I was floored. There wasn’t anyone else in the room when it happened. After conducting numerous tests, we couldn’t conclude what would make the door behave in such a manner on its own.

As A Paranormal Investigator, I Have Some Questions

While we have documented our fair share of seemingly supernatural occurrences that defy empirical explanations, oftentimes, paranormal activity is really just normal activity. Being in my fair share of old houses, I know that floorboards can move and creak. These long boards, when stepped on at one side of the room, can cause an item on the same board to move—even on the entirely opposite side of the room.

I also find it strange that no one looked inside of the closet, which leads me to wonder if there was someone standing behind the door stepping on the same floorboard the mirror was resting on. This pressing could cause the mirror to move. Add in the frightened reactions of the two men on camera to build suspense, and you’ve got a compelling scene.

Again, the house could very well be haunted, too. Personally, I’d love to get in there and see if I can document anything strange for myself. Do you think it’s haunted?
