Instagram Influencer Sells Her ‘Love’ As An NFT For $250,000

Just when you think that NFT market can’t get any more ridiculous than the “Charlie Bit My Finger” NFT and the Ja Rule/Fyre Fest NFT. Then comes a NFT that is based on “love.”

Let’s start with the question everyone is asking: “What is an NFT?” An NFT is a non-fungible token or a digital asset such as a unique online art, videos, a house on the internet, a Nyan Cat meme or a Lindsay Lohan song.

A Polish Instagram influencer is stacking racks by selling her love. That’s right. You can buy an Instagram model’s “love” via an NFT. God bless this savvy seductress swindling the simps.

Instagram model Marta Rentel sold a digital asset of her “digital love” through an NFT online. Not only did she sell it, but she sold her “digital love” for a QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS. On July 13, Rentel sold her “digital love” for $250,000 (1 million Polish Zloty), plus a bonus “dinner date” once the transaction was complete, according to Insider. The buyer has yet to reveal their identity.

Marta Rentel, who goes by the Instagram handle @martirenti, told Insider, “Nothing on the internet is physical, it’s a part of my online persona.”

Rentel’s website states: “My name is Marti Renti. It’s not my ‘real’ name though, it’s the digital version of it, coming from the parallel world where the internet is my stage.”

Rentel, who has 654,000 Instagram followers and 2.4 million followers on TikTok.

The 26-year-old Instagram model said selling her love through an NFT was “empowering” for reasons, “For me, selling digital love is empowering for women because we can love without compromising our freedom and individuality.”

Rentel added, “If I manage to successfully mint my Digital Love and find my second half, then why shouldn’t other feelings and emotions just follow?”

You can quite literally buy her love.
