Internet Clowns Jalen Rose For Getting Absolutely Demolished On An Episode Of Jeopardy

Jalen Rose made an appearance Sunday night on an episode of Celebrity Jeopardy!, and he’s now getting clowned for his performance.

The former NBA star went up against actress Constance Wu and comedian/actor Ike Barinholtz. Things, unfortunately, went off the rails quickly for Rose, as he couldn’t keep pace with the other TV personalities.

Rose was on track with the other contestants early, answering three of his first four questions correctly. But after missing on two of his next three, he ended that opening round in second place with $500.

Double and Triple Jeopardy didn’t go as planned, as Rose wouldn’t get another answer right. In fact, he didn’t attempt to respond in Double Jeopardy, and he’d miss his only two answers in Triple Jeopardy. Eventually, Rose ended up at -$1,300 heading into the final question, which he’d also miss.

Final score:

  • Ike Barinholtz $46,001 (51 correct, 0 incorrect)
  • Constance Wu $0 (23 correct, 7 incorrect)
  • Jalen Rose $0 (4 correct, 5 incorrect)

At least Rose wasn’t the only contestant that finished with $0, though Wu had $23,000 going into Final Jeopardy compared to Rose’s -$1,300. He was gifted $1,000 for the last question, which he promptly lost.

Folks had some fun at Rose’s expense following the game show appearance.

After seeing Rose’s subpar performance, viewers hopped on social media to post their reactions. There were a few questions, in particular, that stuck out to those watching.

How about this response when asked to name the “New England state known for chowder, old money, and being the home of TV’s Gilmore Girls.” Rose answered, “New England.”

Another viewer commented on a question “asking for a synonym for buffet,” to which Rose answered, “buffet.”

This person posted, “Jalen Rose’s golf game might be better than his Jeopardy! game,” which is far from a compliment if you’ve ever seen his swing.

While he may not be able to live that performance down, he can take pride in knowing the embarrassing defeat was for a good cause. Rose played for Operation Graduation on Sunday night.

Tough night for Rose.
