I am starting to think that the divorce between Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo was not as amicable as they want us to believe. Not only are they separated as husband and wife, they no longer follow each other on Instagram.
This comes just a few weeks after the split became official in the eyes of the government.
Regardless of what actually happened, there is so much more drama than either party had planned. What is going on?
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo got a divorce.
As the story goes, Bunnie Xo and Jelly Roll got into an argument on Mother’s Day. The former told the latter to go ahead and file the divorce papers if he was that unhappy with her, so he did.
News of this high-profile separation first broke in the middle of June when Jelly Roll hired the most notorious divorce lawyer in Nashville to represent him during what everyone assumed was going to be a messy split. That, supposedly, was not the case.
Bunnie Xo said on her podcast that neither party cheated and that she and her ex-husband were still best friends. Jelly Roll said something similar at one of his concerts.
He and she were still on good terms. In fact, as of June 19, they were still planning to have a child together through IVF even though they were not going to stay married.
I don’t know if that is still the case. It got weird, fast.
Bunnie Xo (jokingly) compared her marriage to Jelly Roll to a 10-year prison sentence while multiple rappers slid in her DMs. And then she kissed a 24-year-old reality television character at her ex-husband’s bar in Nashville on the 4th of July.
Not too long thereafter, Jelly Roll’s daughter claimed the internet will “crumble” when she eventually reveals why her dad actually got divorced. Bunnie, who helped her ex-husband get full custody of his daughter, played it off as no big deal.
“Nothing to clear up,” she said. “[Jelly Roll’s daughter] didn’t say anything lol ppl just wanna run w a narrative […] love my baby forever.”
Meanwhile, the divorce was finalized. Bunnie Xo got to keep the house and received a one-time lump sum payment from Jelly Roll. The 46-year-old turned right around and underwent a few cosmetic procedures. She also brought the 24-year-old she kissed on the 4th of July with her to buy a $500,000 Rolls Royce in Beverly Hills.
They no longer follow each other on Instagram.
Although Bunnie Xo repeatedly stated that she and Jelly Roll were still friends, their activity on social media suggests otherwise. They do not follow each other on Instagram. They used to but not anymore!
That could mean one of a few things. Either he unfollowed her and removed her as one of his followers, she unfollowed him and removed him as one of her followers, or they both unfollowed each other.
This is very normal. Anyone who went through a breakup in the last 16 years has faced the same dilemma. Do you continue to follow your ex and watch his/her life unfold from a distance or do you remove that person from your feed all together? Most people go with the latter. Especially if the split was not friendly.
But that is not the case here!
Bunnie Xo claimed that she and Jelly Roll were still best friends for life after the divorce, still have love for each other and still planned to have a baby. Maybe that is true. I don’t know. If it is, why hit unfollow? The whole thing is very strange.
