A new clip of Kanye West claiming that adidas — the sneaker company that produces his billion-dollar Yeezy line — “can’t drop him” regardless of his anti-Semitic comments went viral over the weekend, further ramping up pressure on the company to make a public statement about their controversial colleague. The clip of Kanye can be found on the fifth slide of this Instagram post, as the original source of the comments has since been deleted.

Kanye West said that adidas “can’t drop him” regardless of the anti-Semitic things he’s been saying in a viral clip from Drink Champs

“The thing about me and adidas is, like, I can literally say anti-Semitic s**t and they can’t drop me. I could say anti-Semitic things and adidas can’t drop me. Now what? Now what?” West said on the October 16th episode of Drink Champs, “a hip-hop community podcast hosted by N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, which has since been taken down,” according to Fortune.

Kanye’s comments about adidas came before Balenciaga made the announcement last week that they would no longer be working with the 45-year-old Instagram influencer in the wake of his anti-Semitic comments across various platforms.

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda,” West tweeted a few weeks ago after having his Instagram accesss restricted for making similarly anti-Semitic comments.

Following West’s anti-Semitic comments a banner saying “Kanye is right about the Jews” was hung above the 405 highway in Los Angeles. A photo of the banner, which also featured White supremacists doing Nazi poses, also went viral over the weekend.

In addition to West’s anti-Semitic tweet, a recent episode of HBO’s LeBron James-produced series The Shop was reportedly pulled as the father-of-four apparently used his appearance to spout similarly hateful views. Former TMZ and current The Ringer staffer Van Lathan also claimed that West said he “loved Hitler and Nazis” during his infamous visit to the TMZ offices back in 2018.
