Clearly determined to not go more than a day or two without saying something completely insane, fashion designer, Instagram influencer, and former rapper Kanye West now claims that the hit 2012 film Django Unchained — directed by legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino and starring Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio in equally iconic roles — was actually his idea.

Kanye West claims that Quentin Tarantino and Jamie Foxx stole the idea for Django Unchained from him, ignoring that Jamie Foxx wasn’t Tarantino’s first choice

During a recent appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored (LOL), the 45-year-old claimed that he originally pitched the idea to Django star Jamie Foxx when the pair made the song “Gold Digger” together. This, of course, is likely untrue given the fact that Tarantino originally wanted Will Smith for the part, meaning that Foxx was not involved in the film’s conception.

“Tarantino can write a movie about slavery where – actually him and Jamie, they got the idea from me because the idea for Django, I pitched to Jamie Foxx and Quentin Tarantino as the video for ‘Gold Digger,’” West said on Piers Morgan Uncensored. “And then Tarantino turned it into a film.”

These comments from West come as the father-of-four finds himself in hot water following a string of anti-Semitic remarks.

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda,” West tweeted a few weeks ago after having his Instagram accesss restricted for making similarly anti-Semitic comments.

As a result of West’s comments, the fashion house Balenciaga ended their relationship with him. In addition to the above tweet, a recent episode of HBO’s The Shop was reportedly pulled from the schedule as West reportedly used his appearance to spout similar anti-Semitic viewpoints.
