Kanye West’s presidential run seems to be running on fumes and the rapper/mogul could find himself the subject of an election-fraud investigation due to submitting shady signatures in several states.

Over the weekend, Kanye was kicked off the ballot in Illinois after officials concluded that the majority of the 2,500 signatures he needed to submit were “invalid”.

TMZ broke the story … multiple people stepped up to object after Kanye submitted his petition to get on the ballot in his home state. That triggered a review — from the State Board of Elections — of all the 3,128 signatures on his documents.

The tally is in, and 1,928 were ruled invalid … which leaves Ye way more than a thousand short of the 2,500 needed to be a Presidential candidate on the state’s ballots.

Kanye was also booted off the ballot in New Jersey for similar reasons.

Kanye’s campaign team is facing more accusations that they provided alleged fraudulent signatures in Wisconsin as well.

Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, the state Democratic Party filed a complaint with election overseers, as did a lawyer for U.S. Bank, alleging fraudulent signatures on West’s petition to the state election board, which accrued 2,400 signatories, 200 over the necessary minimum. The challengers, however, allege that fake names like “Mickey Mouse” and “Bernie Sanders” appear on his list. “Kanye West” allegedly appears twice. Six people signed affidavits saying they were duped into signing up to support West.

According to journalist April D. Ryan, Kanye could potentially be investigated for election fraud after submitting faulty signatures in several states.

Kanye could have just sat back and enjoyed his money and fame but instead, he’s now gotten himself being accused of election fraud.
